CDN has learned that Lowie Vermeersch has resigned from Pininfarina, where he was Design Director. According to our sources, the Belgian designer has left to pursue other as yet unnamed ventures in the design industry. Vermeersch has been at Pininfarina for the last 12 years, leading the design team that created the new Ferrari 458 as well as the Duettottanta and Sintesi concept cars.

There really is nothing very new from Jaguar with this release, save to confirm a number of details on the new Jaguar XJ which you will already be aware of if you read here regularly. But Mike O’Driscoll (MD of Jaguar Cars), speaking at the Shanghai Motor Show this morning, confirmed what we’ve already told you – that the new XJ will be revealed in full on 9th July. The new Jaguar XJ will come with all the Gen III engines in the JLR tool box.
2012 Ferrari California on video
The 2012 Ferrari California is a facelifted and tweaked version of the original California, revealed at the Geneva Motor Show and now on Video. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if the facelift for the Ferrari California had passed you by. Ferrari revealed details of the 2012 facelift for the California in February and debuted it at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but with the new Ferrari F12 bowing in at Geneva the tweaks to the California took a distinct back seat.
